As you know, this is a short week. There is no school on Wednesday through Friday.
I hope that everyone has a week full of family and time to be grateful for the many blessings in all of our lives. Happy Thanksgiving to your family.
Monday, will be a normal day and we will be moving forward in our curriculum work.
In Math, we will continue with partial products multiplication in lesson 5.6. I know that there were examples of how this strategy works in the family letter, but if you need me to send more information about this multiplication strategy, please let me know. I will also be teaching the traditional algorithm, but want students to become familiar with the place value understanding of multi-digit multiplication.
In Social Studies, students will learn about The Lost Colony, Roanoke.
In Writing, students will finish share the turkey disguise narratives. The Sort 5 word study test will be given on Monday.
In Reading, students will continue work with identifying the main idea in nonfiction articles while I confer with students.
On Tuesday, the fourth grade will visit the High Museum and The Varsity. As stated in the weekly email reminder, students wear their uniform. We will end our day with a reading lesson.
