Welcome to our classroom! I am Heather Hodge. This is my third year at Lovett. However, this will be my 12th year of teaching. I have taught 1st-5th grades during my career and taught in Birmingham, AL, DeKalb County, and Douglas County. I graduated from the University of Alabama and got my Masters from Piedmont College.
I am blessed with my 5 year old son, Wyatt. He and I live in Smyrna. I love to bake, and with my son having an egg allergy, I bake regularly. Exercise and running are important to me and Wyatt and I are very active in our lives. I enjoy being crafty and love to be outside. I look forward to learning more about your child and having you learn more about me.

Welcome 4th graders! I am Torri Knight. This will be my first year at Lovett, along with my first year of teaching. I graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelors Degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Middle Childhood/Adolescence. Most of my experience has been working with non-profits and at-risk-youth. I am very passionate about the emotional, mental and personal development of children. I feel that my purpose in life is to help children grow into the individual that they dream to be by helping them build confidence, determination, and personal goals. I really hope to bring encouragement, fun, and support to the students I come in contact with.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, listening to music, cooking, going on adventures, doing anything creative, and relaxing. I am super excited to get to know your child better and cannot wait for all of us to grow and learn together! |
